stuck in Nishina research lab

Is this mission broken? I've talked to Raphael and he gave me a key that opens a door and I'm supposed to talk to him again. But he remains unreachable as all the doors that might lead to his location are either overgrown or broken, or both. There doesn't seem to be a way out of the place, either.

This mission sucks badly ...

Actually, that is one of the funnest missions. You need to use the little light shows as portals between universes, to bypass blocked doorways, etc. It's an exercise the first time thru. :D

Go into the anomaly, it's a puzzle and to get through you need to transit universes.

Follow the path to the marker making sure the quest is selected. If this is the first time you talked to him then you can't see the anomalies yet.

It seems I'm not getting to the undamaged lab where the sparkles are. I'm stuck after Raphael gave me the key and he's unreachable so I can't talk to him like I'm supposed to.

IN the first part of the quest you simply walk in a direct and the game shifts you between realities until you speak to the head gal and they get you the transponder. Have you talked to the head gal and then the lab gal to get the transponder?

I talked to the director and followed her assistant and was again taken back to the broken lab before we could do anything. I didn't get a transponder.

You are one or two transitions from getting the PROBE CONTROL UNIT to allow you to SEE the Anomalies that are making you swap universes...

That's basically where I am now, with the difference that Raphael is not following me like he does in the video after I shot the Cataxi.

I'm guessing that the quest marker is where Raphael is. That marker is in a place I can't get to. Raphael doesn't seem to be around other than maybe where the marker is, but I can't know that.

PS: Yes, in the video Raphael says he'll clear the path to the door. But he isn't there so I can't talk to him, and I'm not taken back to Ethan.

How can I make Raphael show up like he's supposed to?

Ok and how do I get there? I'm stuck in the broken version of the lab and Raphael is not around.
