Jumping Bug

Hi, I cannot jump anymore. Reinstall, with or without mods no change. The only thing possible is reloding an old save. So the save seems corrupt. What the hell?

I know this might be silly, but are you overencumbered? I don't know if that affects jumping, but just in case...^^

Spacebar really should work in a SPACE game.

Not overencumbered, took even everthing off. Thought it could be a clothing/suit error. No solution. Anybody else an idea?

If you used something like WeMod or Cheatengine to modify jump height, you may have accidentally set it to really low ^^ That's my last guess, dunno what else would be possible :D

Long shot, whats the gravity on the planet?

Can´t jump on all visited Planets, even starting planet where I could jump. I even can´t jump in ships or stations.
Tried it with deaktivation for every mod, with aktivated mods and on an old save I can jump. Would loose 10 hours at least.

Did, new pack and without one. Took the booster skill. Nothing helped

Did change the settings to a different key. Did reset the setting to default. No change. Loading the first save game and i can jump. So it´s not the settings, mods... I am at an complete loss.

The only other person with this problem I've seen had used a trainer to set jump height to 0.1 by mistake. Since it's set in a trainer, no in-game settings will show or change it. It's also possible a mod did something and was uninstalled - that often doesn't uninstall elegantly. Or there's a bug in the game, but considering how unusual it is, that seems slightly unlikely.

Still.. open console and type:
resetinputenablelayer 1

If jump inputs has been disabled for some reason that should fix that. (I'm not a console ninja, if I'm reading that wrong, sorry.).

Its an old issue that you get every once in a great while.

My theory is that it has something to do with a conversation that the Engine thinks was started or finished but a check mark wasn't unchecked.

But I have no empiracal data to back that up. Reloading a save before the issue is your best bet.

i also had the thought that it was due to a conversation. i also tried to setgs fJumpHeightMax in the console, but it didn't work. resetinputenablelayer 1 says layerID is invalid, that doesn't work either. but thanks for the hint.

Only other thing I can suggest is use an animation object (workbench, Chair,) something that puts your Character in a non normal state. See if that snaps it out. (Low chance but might.)

Another thought. Enhance (Worth a shot) yourself.
