Warning about those paid mods

I had 1000 credits that I got because I bought the premium version of the game. And then I bought the Robin Locke UC Fly Girl companion mod from that. The mod advertises itself as "1200 lines of fully voiced professional dialogue", but what the author of the mod "forgot" to say is that her LIPS DO NOT MOVE and her MOUTH DOES NOT OPEN when she speaks. So it looks very, very bizarre, to say at least.

In addition, this companion is an alcoholic which is fine by me. So when she is your active companion, you get the message "Robin liked that" when you drink a beer or something. However, I sent her to the spaceship as a crew member and took another companion instead. And then again when I drink alcohol I get the message "Robin liked that", even though she is no longer with me. I can be 1000 miles away from her and every time I drink alcohol I'll get a "Robin like that" message.

The big problem with these paid mods is that you can't leave a rating, review or comment, so people don't really know what they're buying. It's not a system like Steam or Nexus where you can see reviews and ratings. I think Bethesda made it that way on purpose because a lot of people will spend money on essentially broken or half-baked mods, and you can't even ask for a refund when you spend money or credits.

I've also tried to figure out a way to leave some feedback on mods, in an official place for feedback. I can't find it. Some mod makers will link to YouTube or something and I've left messages there, but no idea if the mod maker even sees those. I also do not see a Thumbs Down option. I can Thumb Up it, but not down.

Seriously before spending anything on a non-BGS mod, I have to see some feedback on it.

And why am I not surprised... It's just a part of their scammy tactis. You can't point out a problem or an issue, you can only leave a like lol.

Since its from a "verified creator" i guess you can post a bug report on the discord and specify which creation you're using. I guess there's a chance it could reach the author and lead to updates

I could get past the lip animations not supported but the affinity boost bug is too much

is she voiced? Then yeah. That wasn't misleading. Isn't that how it worked in Skyrim?

You get the dialogues, the lines are written. But they can't make the character open their mouth. (Unless I'm thinking of a different game?).

Anyway, its limited thats for sure. While I agree the store need tune up, as in being able to post review and feedbacks, you can't ask for a refund on something you used.

You brough the steak, you ate the steak. You can't ask for a refund for it.

I don't care for Discord and I don't use Discord. Stop justifying these dishonest practices. I didn't buy the mod on Discord, but on Bethesda's Creation Store.

Yup i had too,and the transaction did not include the 1000 credits. They were added to my account june 9

I didn't even get to her first quest, when I saw her voice come out without opening her mouth I thought I was crazy or something. Then I realized it was just a half-baked mod. All other NPCs and companions in the game who speak always open their mouths (at least as far as I've seen in my 70 hours of gameplay).

And even when I sent her away from me on the spaceship, now in the game I have a problem that every time I drink some kind of alcohol I get the message "Robin liked that". And now you say that there are also the problems with the location of her first quest? LOL. I think this mod is truly of Bethesda quality.

I have that quest flagged, but didn't buy since the author says it's a WIP. Certainly not going to buy a mod that isn't finished.
