Starfield only sold about 1 million copies on Steam

An easy way to find out this is by using the 1:10 ratio, which seemed to prove accurate on most Steam games which have disclosed their actual sales figures.

As of now Starfield only has about 99k reviews. Take that multiply by 10 and you get roughly the amt of copies Bethesda actually sold. And yep, it's pathetic indeed for an AAA title. For the record, Baldur's Gate 3 has 550k reviews. That's 5.5 times more than Starfield.

Bethesda claimed upwards to 10 million people played the game, so we can assume the other 9 million were mostly GP users playing for free. Out of which, how many continued subscribing to GP after the first month? Probably even fewer.

So yeah, SF is a total commercial failure. Bethesda will never even think of a sequel.

For reference, Skyrim has 180k reviews here on Steam. The game has sold over 60 million copies.

skyrim sold 60 million copies of on multiple platforms (xbox, switch, play station, epic games store, microsoft store, etc). you also have to specify which version of skyrim because steam has 3 different versions of it for sale.
