The stupid thing is, on release it worked without major issues apart from the one or two lip desync on dialogue start.
Since the DLSS update it all went to ♥♥♥♥
Have are other games running for you?
I'm sorry but I totally disagree, me with my pc:
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 4.00 GHz.
32.0GB Corsair.
Sapphire RX 6700 XT 12GB.
The game runs perfectly at a stable 60 FPS without any problems.
It might just be that any SSD isn't enough, which would be very bad as Bethesda didn't put a minimal requirement on the type of SSD the game requires.
I suspect the majority of problems boil down to Bethesda's over reliance on SSD read speed to cut Starfield's final RAM usage requirement. They HAD to make it work for the consoles.
My SSD read speed is only at 520 MB/s ... THIS might be the crux of the problem
Doesn't explain why it worked with minimal issues on launch though.
Exactly. Read speed is everything here.
Have a Verbatim Vi550 S3 1TB SATA SSD - read speed 520 MB/s
The "best" available for my motherboard is a
Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SATA SSD - read speed 560 MB/s
As long as I try to rely on SATA SSDs I won't solve my issue.
I blame Bethesda for that though... THEY should have been more accurate regarding the SSD requirements.
I didn't NEED a SSD before starfield. Baldur's Gate 3 and Starfield were the first games for me which made it a requirement.
It looks like ANY SATA SSD isn't enough for Starfield.
As long as the listed requirement just say "requires SSD", I find that to be misleading to the customer.
Also... mach dir´n Kopp *g* - viel Glück *g*
Nothing you said even makes sense, much less being remotely close to being true.
