random FPS drop
Anybody experiencing random FPS drops? These seem to be able to happen anywhere any time. I don't remember them in POIs tho. It could be in a city, on an empty planet, in space or even during landing and take off cutscenes. I have a app checking cpu core temps, task manager running and resource manager on anther monitor so I can watch in real time and I can see nothing being over worked, over heated or maxed out. I can't track it to anything.
The other key to note is, if I hit escape. FPS comes right back up and when I return to game, it stays between 60-80 even in Akila or New Atlantis or Neon. I'm at a loss to figure out what's causing it. I'm not sure if this is true but it feels like if I restart my PC and sometimes just restart the game it stops for a while. Any thoughts?

That does sound odd how it returns to normal after hitting escape. I don't have any problems with the game but hopefully someone here can help you.

Do you have the latest graphics driver for your card? Do you have DLSS enabled?

Yes and yes, I've tried both fsr3 and dlss. I've turned off some services, turned off a lot of the auto save options. It almost feels like my PC, Windows or some other app starts doing something that's causing it. I mean I could see FPS dropping in city areas or somewhere it's graphic or CPU intensive but I run 80+FPS in Akila. But having my FPS drop to 12 during a takeoff or landing cutscene just seems really odd.

No issues on my setup:
i9-12900K, RTX 3090, nvme SSD, Windows 11, 2560x1440, playing on Ultra.

I will say this, the other day i was noticing my game having performance drops. Then i realized it had been a while since i blew out the inside of my PC with compressed air. So I did and it's been running like a top ever since.

I also took the time to clean my registry and all the caches.

I think the problem might have been I had the frame generation or whatever turned off. I turned it on set it to 60% and i think it's stopped now

Nope it's still doing it. I'll be in space looking at nothing but stars and my fps will drop from 100 to 10. I can see that the 4060 GPU is 96% utilized. I can't figure out what the GPU could be doing with nothing but stars. It also happily runs 90 fps in Akila city but at weird times it just tanks to 10 and below even sometimes in cut scenes. It seems to be triggered sometimes by going in and out of menus, like looking at inventory or the map. I can't prove that's always the case but it does seem to happen a lot then.

Same issue for me, almost identical setup, I have a 4070 instead of a 4060, and a 3700X processor. I simply gave up playing. It stutters for me constantly.

I delete my pipeline file everytime I start the game and that seems to take care of it for several hours. Not sure if it matters but I empty it out of the recycle bin as well.
