I have about 12 mods installed, nothing major. Game runs the same for me as it did at launch, which is butter smooth, I can't say for sure but I'd bet money I haven't crashed 3 times since launch.
DLSS got released since launch, have you looked at that?
But two quests in New Atlantis lead to an npc in the middle of the lake, and so far under water cant even interact so both quests broken. I tried travelling away and waiting and everything but still broken.
Also the tram in New Atlantis does the move animation 1 in 10 times, but it still makes sounds at least. The tram was sort of lazy to start with but its even lazier now lol.
If there is an option turning off ability to fast travel so much would be good, im sure thats been requested 100 times already.
Also alot of the main story quests being forced on the player so hard constantly harassing the player to continue on would be great, but i havnt started the main quest yet since i stopped playing last year after the game came out.
100 updates still needed to be half as good a game as it would be before the blatant sabotage and bad writing basically.
But i wasnt playing the game at all since last year like i said, just seeing if it started up and worked basically.
The latest update today may have fixed the quest NPC in the middle of the large lake and broken tram but i dont know.
I am not rushing to update now because maybe the endless loading screens come back or performance takes a hit again or something.
Not impossible the quest npc in middle of lake and broken tram are from free mods from the store, dont know.
Your problems sound more like drivers or a corrupted install though. Maybe start with uninstalling any mods and verifying your game files. As was mentioned above make sure your gpu drivers are up to date.
An easier way to fix that:

Performance has been better pretty much every update for me.
Balthie... time zones are so weird to me. Your post time says 7 hours ago. Vatican city (where you say you're at) is 6h ahead of where I'm at rn, and it's 6a here. So it is noon there. Your profile says you haven't played Starfield since the 14th, which now, would be over 12 hours ago.
Respect to the 10k hours spent in Rimworld. Seems like you're a way more competent gamer than me and play a lot of grand strategy too. Really hope you can figure the bugs out. Starfield rocks and I've had no major issues, so I am genuinely interested in hearing what's up.
Your tag line, Ksyro0, 'there is a real problem and not just for those that have a weak PC' (can't stand your grammar, bot), does raise a good point, so evidence decides. My GPU with a 16 gig ram has had no real trouble. While I was hospitalized most of the end of last year... the GPU running pretty much only Starfield, did get hot enough to burn out my wifi card. So now I've got usb wifi and a fan going on... but that ish was my fault, and the air flow to the laptop... but the card itself kept up with the need of about 2 months of regular play since release... when I got out and solved the hardware issue, and I haven't had any lately.
How can people help when all the information that gets posted is "runs laggy"? You literally have to pry out of people with multiple questions what system they are running, if the drivers are updated, are there mods installed. Those things matter and are the most common culprit when it comes to gameplay issues.
Think about it. If 1 out of 100 people post that they are having an issue and the other 99 say it runs fine, maybe it's not the 99 people or Bethesda that are the problem.
