Power From Beyond Bug

I ran into this issue today.....and from searching across the internet, it's clear this bug occurs A LOT. It's sort of game breaking, as it will prevent a player from unlocking one of the starborn powers........and yet, Bethesda has not fixed it yet.

What on earth are they doing at Bethesda all day? Fix your game already.

Same, it bugged on Altair I for me. There's no spawn point for the temple, if I land at another landing spot (some industrial thing) there are the anomalies around, but no distorsions or temple whatsoever.
Can't believe they still have to fix this.

what bug? your too busy trying to convince its such a common bug you forgot to mention what the problem is

i have collected all the Powers Multiple times (admittedly i gave up long before all 10x and just used console)
these are "Optional" powers, so there is No Way its "Game Breaking" or prevents you from continuing - i have Literally Never used the powers and i have them All

some caveats, that may help you get 'unstuck'
you Must have found the Artifact before Vlad will give you the Temple location for the associated Power
the Temples do Not show a marker until you get very close (popup tells you must use the scanner to find them)
each Artifact planet has the same symbol Temple on it (finding them with the artifacts is easiest, with or without Vlads help?)

Apparently if you already landed on a planet that will later has a temple on it, it might bug and not showing the POI location for it.

ahh gotcha, that does stink hopefully that will get patched then
be sure to report it, the more reports the higher onn the list bugs get prioritized

Good morning....just waking up here and seeing this post. Yes, thank you for explaining. I should have done so in my original post.

From what I can see from various user forums, this is a very common bug. While not game breaking the sense that you cannot continue at all in the game, it is game breaking in that if it occurs to you on your first run, then you will not be able to acquire all of the powers, at least not without running NG+. So if you intended not to run NG+, then you are forever missing the full feature powers of the game.

If it occurs to you in NG+ runs, then you cannot get all of the levels of the powers that should be available to you. Or, at least, I suppose you'd have to run an extra NG+ for every time this occurs for you. I'm currently running NG+6, but I've had this bug happen to me on 3 of the 6 runs.....which means I'd theoretically have to run NG+13 if I intended to level up all of the powers. Oh yay!

And yes, I've reported it to Bethesda....they're well aware of the issue. Which prompts my "what are they doing all day?" question. 2 months and barely any updates, fixes or communications. We should all be expecting more.

Yeah, I restarted my game because I thought I may have missed something my first play through, but it happened again and now I'm just stuck.

worst part is if they add stuff that was missing we have to go back and start over anyhow because of the missed content so dont worry about starting over...we all will have to anyways. This is why im not playing im waiting for things to get better

Which I wouldn't mind IF i didn't lose everything thru NG+. it just seems silly to spend time in an outpost and resource farm, making the perfect ship, surveying, etc if you have to throw it all away if you have to start over.

also you will have to repeat them after Each NG+ to max that skill, so unless this is a Specific power you Really Want there is no reason you cant just skip it
i ended up skipping a bunch in my 10 NG+ games, then just used the console at the end :P

Well, if we all played the game the way you do, then no problem. I guess there is no reason to fix any broken side quest because they aren't required either. Why bother doing NG+ at all...just use console right from the beginning of the game.

If you don't get all the powers on your first play through, you will only be upgrading the powers you already have and maybe find a few new powers until your next ng+. That puts your character behind. They need to fix this. Until then, I'm just going to work on skill building, but hopefully this gets fixed soon.

? easy mate i did not tell ANYONE how to play, im just pointing out the Simple Fact that him waiting because "it wont matter" is an exaggeration (kinda like your doing in the OP)
i get he wants to make this out like its 'Game Breaking' but it really isnt imo
its a mission bug and that is bad, but he can still play the game thru to the Ending if he wants - thats not to say i blame him for waiting, thats his right and i hope he (and you) does(do) get a fix
but then waiting is likely to be a waste since the fix may well require a new game start anyway (most bug fixes wont repair a current save)
