Red Tape Blues, mission broken, no iron to mine

Got the mission to mine iron in Red Tape Blues and I go to the mission icon and it disappears. I turn on the scanner and cutter but there is no iron highlighted to mine anywhere in the area. Tried restarting and verifying the game cache but can't get it to work.

if so gather the iron anywere else and come back.

didnt play this the normal way. allways had the 10 iron bevorhand. ^^

Go further out. You are supposed to search for it. Its not specifically marked. There are nodes scattered around you need to find and mine.

Looks like the mining area is just behind the guy who gives the mission. And it's and enclosed area can't go anywhere.

Cydonia is not enclosed. You can walk all the way out and it spawns your armour. No city is actually enclosed, even Gagarin has a path leading out to the wilderness.

Was able to buy iron at a local shop to complete the mission. Had to wait 24 hrs for a restock but it worked. Weird thing after I purchased the first batch of iron the 10 mission icons popped up on the mining floor so I went down there thinking it might have fixed itself but no. Where the icons were there was no iron to mine so I just purchased the rest and completed the mission without any other bugs. Thanks for the tip.

Turns out you can buy the iron from a vendor upstairs. Wait a few days if he doesn’t have enough.
