Ok, last mission of the incredibly tiresome Crimson Fleet saga. Just want this over with. Hooked up the appropriate modules to my ship at the Eye in order to survive the storms, but I STILL get destroyed by the storms before the chance to board the Legacy. What gives? Using the left stick to for engine boost, right stick for hull, but always get destroyed. Even tried setting the difficulty to "Easy." same results. What am I missing? Did I install the modules inappropriately? Am I powering something wrong? SO want this boring questline over with. All advice appreciated.

Had to put 5 of the conduction modules on my ship so there was no damage. Also when you get to the end where kryx is listen to all the recordings and save your game. There is a bug there sometimes where the credits wont download and if you restart you have to listen to all of the recordings again.

My solution for the second attempt was to fly faster and dock before my ship exploded and it worked :)

Thanks TheLoveMummy, read something on-line that says something similar, but not as clearly as you have. I put exactly ONE of the modules on my ship. That must be it. What a pain in the ass this questline is... Anyway, THANK YOU.

It helps to have good shields on your ship in addition to the conduction grid. With the high end shields (capacity of 1400+) and a single conduction grid, I've never had a problem any of the times I did the quest.
Also, having a crew assigned that has the shield systems skill can help, as they give a 20% boost to shield capacity.

The bonus is you keep them on your ship you wont get damaged by enemy ships using EM weapons. I put them on all of mine.

I didn't think the comspike stacked but if you put points into shields it is well worth it :)

Start with 100 % shield energy allocation (all power slots) and 100 % engine energy allocation and get to the waypoint as fast as you can. You won't need weapon energy, so go all out on speed and shield. Maybe drop some containers to increase mobility if you can't afford better engines.

i liked the fleet quest (the most rewarding part was when they gave me the money ). gotta go fast and avoid running into asteroids

I had to load a previous save and buy a ship with better shields.
