Freestar Rangers - Red Mile - Mei bugged

I have encountered a quest breaking bug, where the "Listen to Mei objective" is stuck, Mei turns non responsive, and wont progess the quest by its script.

On my 1st play thru this wasnt an issue, but it might be a problem that I had previously completed a Red Mile run before taking up the Ranger's quest line.

Seems a common bug, NG+7 & havent completed this step yet...

Have you tried leaving the planet and coming back?
Some of the local planet quests end if you leave the planet.
That could reset Mei.

Running the Red Mile is meant to be repeatable daily. It should not matter if you have done it before the Ranger quest, as long as your current timer is not on cooldown.

Yep, I have tried leaving and coming back later.

In addition I have tried:
- Waiting function on the sofa
- Rent a room and sleep
- Exit, reenter the Mile
- Exit, and boostpack over the building, run and complete the mile while being on the bugged objective, reenter from the lift side into the Pub

The thing that worked for me was to reload a save before I had the conversation with her. Speak to her, then when given the choice, say you're not ready to run the race yet.

She then had a conversation with an NPC. After that had finished I spoke to her and told her I was ready and it worked.
