cargo link delivery time cannot be skipped
so i build an outpost that mines Iran and then connected it with a cargo link to my main outpost that mines aluminium. The ship is delivering the Iran but i did not want to wait real world time so that my storage that is just meant for Iran would fill up, so i tried to skip the wait time by sitting down and skipping for 24 sec or for about 360 UC time but i found out after a few tries that you can not skip the wait time for cargo transports.
So my question is is this a bug or is this how the game is meant to be played?
If it is meant to be played this way that is disappointing, if not i hope they fix what every is causing it.

Unlike previous games some elements in Starfield works in real game time. Waiting and sleeping freezes some of them.
Like in Skyrim, when you wait you can see the world moves, NPCs and such. Not in SF.
The cargo links can be a bit finicky. I suggest waiting for a full shipment to be ready then activating the terminal to send the full shipment (i think the outgoing container can hold 400-500 units) once the outgoing contain is full, you can call in a full shipment.

if the landing pad lights are flashing yellow that means a shipment is incoming or outgoing, wait until the landing pads turn solid green before terminating the link from the terminal otherwise you can "break" the cargo link and glitch it.

Just land on planet Skink in the Cheyenne system. Waiting 24 hours there is 1440 hours of time passing everywhere else. Should be full when you wake up.

It is possible to get iron and aluminium on the same outpost though a bit tricky. You need to get on a biome border with a planet that has both. Unless there's some planet that has them both in same biome that I haven't found.
