That is odd, idk about that card, what brand is it?

the only other thing i could think of to cause this would be using the internal gpu rather than the dedicated gpu - but surely your actually using that 4070ti right?

Honest question.
Did you buy your "RTX 4070TI" from Wish or Ebay?

Unsure i have a Gigabyte 4070ti ROG and have no issues I would go with what EzRyder has stated is your system using Onboard or GPU via Bios.

I had the same exact message and problem. Checking your Windows updates. The error was due to a faulty update. My windows wasn't actually updating to 22H2. I had to re-install Windows before I could play.

I had this happen with my 4090. I can't for the life of me remember how I got it working though.

EDIT: I remember, my 7950X3D has an onboard video that I don't use, but Windows installed the drivers for it anyways. I had to DDU the AMD graphics driver and disable iGPU in the bios then it worked fine.

maybe start over. use a utility like Display Driver Uninstaller or similar .... wipe the current graphics driver.
reboot
CLEAN install latest driver
reboot
try game again

game launcher for other users recognize the 4070ti card as recommended.

Thats because you need a 4090 ti with extra hot sauce.

Its obviously just a bug. I wouldn't read too much into it.

i think so to, best to use dddu after that disable igpu and reinstall drivers

Did you update your bus drivers ?
you can get that error with out of date pci bus drivers.
in most cases the windows drivers will work but sometimes they are behind on the manufacturers version.

I received this same message on a new PC with a relatively high-end AMD graphics card.

I ran the AMD software, and it listed my primary graphics processor as AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics (Integrated), which is the integrated GPU on my motherboard, not the GPU in my graphics card.

I then checked the back of my PC to see where I had attached my display, and I found that I had mistakenly plugged my display into the motherboard, not into the graphics card. Ah-ha! So, I simply unplugged my display from the motherboard and plugged it the graphics card, and I was good to go.

Your issue may be something different, but at least checking your video connection won't take long.

I just fixed this problem with my game. When the game boots up it out runs the computers ability to auto select the proper driver software. You have to make sure that your gaming video card is manually selected for the game at each level of the software hierarchy. So that means the bios, device driver, OS, then the game. In the bios make sure the on board is disabled and not just set to auto. In the device software you will need to add the program to the Manage 3d setting list and make sure that it is set to the graphic card you want to use for the OpenGL rendering. Then you check the OS and make sure you have the app listed on the game mode and set to the processing type you want it to run at when in use, and be sure it is set to the proper video card. Then restart the system and try the game again. If even one of those options is still set to auto, Or the game is not added to the one of the two list the error will show up.

On a side note make sure the software is up to date first because updates have away of reset things back to the auto/default and you may need to run through all the options and make these changes again after any software update that affects one of these locations.

Hope this helps
