Have credits, want to pay bounty, can not. What do I do?

During the whole undercover pirate quest I managed somehow to get a 90k bounty from the Crimson Fleet and they just attack me when I go inside The Key. Got to a bounty clearing kiosk with the money needed and it tells me I dont have the money to pay off the bounty? How do I progress here without losing an amount of progress that will make me quit the game?

bounty clearing kiosks are used OUTSIDE of the faction's controlled area. 90k isn't that much, do some missions from bounty boards and sell the loot you get from it.

Steal the Illegal stuff from the Chest in NEON Police station.,.dont know but for me tthe Illegal stuff respawn from time to time (and You just go outside and sell it to the Trade Guys) You know that you can sit down at a chari and wait 24 Hours so that the Traders get money back by the way ? ((Could be ..that your Problem is that you need a Bounty Kiosk NOT from the Crimson guys..when you have enough money try the Akila City Bounty kiosk,,,for me i have at UC Bounty on my head and i have to travel to Akila to get rid of it)

i placed a base in a nuetral system and placed a bounty kiosk in it just for things like that.
very handy for when thing dont go as planned but dont want to lose progress...consider yourself lucky...90k is not hard to recover

You can not pay off a bounty in the territory where the bounty is in effect, Go somewhere else to pay it off.

A 90k bounty costs more than 90k to pay off with a kiosk. There is a markup (10%?) as a fee for them taking care of your issue for you.

I was not in the territory of the faction I was trying to pay off a bounty with or dumb enough to not be at a bounty treminal when trying.

Want to know what the stupid reason I could not pay off my 90316 credit bounty was?
It was because I had 93562 credits and the game does not tell you that you need to pay 10% extra unless you have the 10% extra. So with 93562 credits all I got were non functional bounty terminals that would not let me pay the amount it told me to pay.
