What's with the awful anti-aliasing in this game?
So I'm using DLSS quality at 1440p and the whole game is just shimmering with jagged edges on everything. How are you supposed to play this game?

Cant say I recognize that myself. Maybe something in your settings that throws off something?

Using an RTX 4090 at high with DLSS Quality, 1440p. I deleted the folder with the ini.s and set it up again. Definetly something to do with the game. I did notice that DLSS automatically sets the resolution to 67%, pretty sure that's the culprit but what's the point of DLSS if you set it to 100% again.

Cant say I've noticed, as I dont even know what anti-aliasing does. But I could also say the same for 90% of graphics settings. XD

can't say for sure, but it might be because this game is trash

if you have a 4090 why on earth are you using dlss ?
watch a video , read a guide on how to set up your hardware

Dont know. I just did a test. As it turned out I had FSR3 on, but I switched between DLSS and back a few times but dont really notice anything remarkable. That being said, I'm also not overly sensitive to these types of advanced graphics details.

I like to hit the 144fps cap for my monitor. There's no in-game FPS counter so I just rely on how smooth it looks when turning the camera. Looks the smoothest with DLSS+FG.

Yeah no point using Ultra since it looks mostly the same on any setting.

It's mostly noticeable when you walk up to things like doors.

I was in my outpost north from New Altantis and walked around there a bit, it was night though so maybe it wasn't the best possible test, but if anything was off I didn't register it.
sorry mate, can't help you any further in that case.

I hope you get it sorted out!
starman Nov 15, 2024 @ 7:41am
starman also has a 4090 and also often uses DLSS, to scale 1440 to 4K

in a game where DLSS is implemented by competent people who care about the game, it can be really solid, and you almost can't see the difference, even on a 50"

but they have to actually replace the standard dll from NVIDIA and make a custom one, they probably didn't do that, because they are lazy clowns who are bad at everything

Steam overlay has an FPS counter. And I'd presume that the Nvidia control panel has one?

Of course, as a test to see if it's DLSS giving the AA problems, you can say screw the FPS and turn off DLSS to see how it looks then.

I can't look at DLSS quality after enabling DLAA. Do yourself a favour, OP, and try doing the same. Don't forget to switch Reflex on with it, too...

Yeah it was DLSS. It sets the render resolution to 67% and looks awful. Just gonna use DLAA.

It smooths the edges so they appear less jagged.
