Like everyone else with interest in either game.
There's no chance it's going to resemble Baldur's Gate. All it's going to do is trash the whole franchise with something that's really Original Sin 3. Might be fine for those who've never actually played Baldur's Gate, but it's not going to please most folks who have.

Maybe you’re not a fan of their writing, I get that, but the combat is some of the best in gaming history.
Different strokes for different folks. The ground-effect heavy, element-combining minigame got really, really tedious really, really fast. It was an amusing gimmick for about two hours. Original Sin 2 was so bad I had it removed from my account.
Same. This weird obsession with forcing games to align to their political views is nuts to me. Baldur's Gate 3 looks to be the most in depth RPG in at least 15 years. I'm not passing that up because of politics.
