Anyone got experience with Vortex and StarUI?
I'm having several issues to get this to work. First of all, Vortex has the mod installed and it "manages" it. Whenever I run the StarUI configuration.bat (or that other file), it doesn't really give me anything to set up. Seems blank. Left side isn't clickable or menus. But if I run the .html, it will! Which is for linux and mac.

So I'm kinda stuck there. I tried using the .html file to set up. But it only gives the changes I set, not the base configuration itself. And what ini-file should the changes be in, StarfieldCustom.ini? Or StarfieldPref.ini?

Help?

I'm playing on the Steam version of Starfield on Windows 11. I install StarUI from it's mod page using the "Mod Manager Download" button. Nothing else need be done.

As for the ini files you mention nothing needs to be done in those ini's. StarUI has it's own ini file which also does not need to be touched unless you want to make some visual changes to it.

And as far as the Vortex "Open", there are 5 choices of folders to open there and they all open to the proper folders for me.
This is also what I have done, "Mod Manager Download" - so it is managed in Vortex (the mod manager). And then I run the game, and it looks the same. Then what?

Where are those StarUI ini-files tho, I can't find them anywhere?
if it looks the same in game then I doubt messing with the StarUI ini file is going to fix that.

First of all there are several StarUI mods all by the same mod author. There's on for the Hud, one for Ship Builder, one for Outpost, one for Workbench....
You probably want StarUI Inventory[www.nexusmods.com] and if you did install that one then uninstall it completely and after that delte it from Vortex then reinstall it.

You can get to all the files including the ini file for each mod directly from Vorex.

Either right hand click on the mod itself and choose "open in file manager" or you can slide over to the far right hand side from the name of the mod, then use the drop down and select "open in file manager".

Oh, and also Vortex's "Open.." will open both the mod-folder and the games-folder in the same folder. And I've tried to pick mod-folder manually. Still picks the root of the game-folder.

Have you installed this?
https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/5467
and then at least one other StarUI mod?

Oooh, hold on, hold your horses!

I think I just installed the StarUI configurator actually, and not those other mods. I thought that was all-in-one package. Let me try StarUI Inventory and get back to you!

Yes, StarUI Inventory will probably give you what you are looking for since we are in our inventory often. After that there are several other StarUI mods as I mentioned in my last post.
