REv-8 Update Bugs: Interaction Keys don't work, Default Planet Texture

UPDATE, ORIGINAL POST BELOW: Interaction keys not working seems to have something to do with creations. What fixes it is disabling and re-enabling all creations, but opening, then closing the creations menu during gameplay crashes the game and breaks the interaction keys again. This bug is reproducable.



This is obviously to be expected with Bethesda games, but it can't hurt to report every bug you find, especially when it makes the game literally unplayable.

The latest update really was the buggy update, as a bug has made it impossible to interact with NPCs, contaIners, doors etc. The game quite simply doesn't pick up the interaction keys.
It also shows a very nice default planet texture on every stellar body on the map, the texture literally saying "Default planet texture, the swap hasn't occured, you shouldn't be seeing this".

My condolences to Bethesda developers, who will be spending sleepless, coffee-drenched nights on hotfixes.

Getting the texture bug. Verifying files and restarting now.

This fixed the texture bug. If I have problems with containers, I'll be back.

Yeah... so far, I can't get the buggy to launch / load next to my ship after landing on a planet or two a few times. And I'm also getting all those default textures.

We'll see.

Having the same issue. Interaction keys don't work. Can't open any doors or sit on any benches so far. That's as far as I have gotten.

Textures fixed after a reboot... not seeing the vehicle yet though. Love the game, but maybe the vehicle's inside me as an intrinsic sense of self worth?

I go to the ship tech and I get to buy it infinitely. gonna try launching without creations.

No issues surprisingly considering I use a ton of mods. If you're using mods could be one of them.

Planet texture bug here. Some keys don't work, also. Can't talk or interact with anyone

I beat the game months ago and just started playing again this morning. Modded up, got it all working, played for an hour, exited game for lunch. Came back to a new patch and a broken Activate key. I'm stuck in a room and can't get out. LOL Is it a conflicting mod? patch bug? Who knows, probably won't for several days. By then I'll probably be playing something else.

For me... I think it might be the star wars skin mods... as most of my ship techs seem to have that skin. Testing it.

Restarting the game helped with the texture problem on my end. Didn't look at the interaction keys, but they worked on the second start.

Everyone has this bug i think, but its worse now.

Game loaded fine, jumped to Mars, got the buggy, drove around, all fine.

Tried to enter ship, forever load screen had to unplug the power to start the game again.

Tried loading in on last save, same thing so save broken. The computer was overheating like crazy until unplugged power again.

It may be mods but it shouldnt be.

So game entirely broken until i figure it out.

Same here needed to download 5 files. Game also rebuilt shaders.
