Bethesda, a company in decline?
Looking at the latest games they've released, it seems Bethesta is a company in decline, far removed from the tastes of its core players.
Except for the iconic games that made it famous, the number of recent reviews for each game barely reaches 500.
It seems they're losing their core players; both Indiana and Starfied have very low acceptance.
It's an obsolete company in decline. What do you think?

That's sorta a given, considering their track record.

Morrowind: astounding. Oblivion: really really good. FO3: really good. Skyrim: good (great with mods). FO4: funny, but not as good as FO3 or Skyrim. FONV: not made by Beth. ESO: lukewarm reception by their fans. FO76: disastrous launch, plagued by bugs, eventually fixed. Starfield: their worst title to date with a <30% rated DLC and ~80 weeks under 50% rating.

Anyone at this point thinking to buy a Beth title without seeing a lot of it first is just the "ostrich with their head in the sand". Beth's clearly on a downward trend. The only one that can save them is either MS, or their partnership and an awareness of public dissent.

It might be one thing if their releases were good/bad/good/bad/etc like MS Windows has been for ~30 years. But that isn't the trend Beth is following. They might be able to pull one out of their arse with TESVI, or they might go down in flames if they keep going with the same development practices. Time will tell.

Weekend
Indiana doesn't reach 900 players, Starfield, supposedly Goty, doesn't reach 5K
Hope you feel better soon.

The rest of us are going to keep enjoying the game.

Here here!
Why are you going by recent reviews? It's almost as if you're cherry picking data to prove that narrative. On 1p year old games where all people who were going to review already have lol... At least influencers get some money out of it..what's your reasoning for this post?

Starfield is their least popular game at a peak of 5000

Is this the new goalpost now?
No longer is it the concurrent player numbers... now it is the amount of reviews left.
Next time it'll be the amount of screenshots posted.. just wait and see.,

No it's the "recent reviews" lmao...on games with well over 150000 reviews already...oh and are 10 years old or older

All those developers, creators of Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 3, are long gone from bethesda.

Maybe but maybe they got a game left in them and can save Starfield.
Ascending or declining for a business is based 100% on revenue, not popularity.
Sadly yes i think they are clearly a developer in creative decline and being bought by Microsoft has only accelerated it. I was a massive Elderscrolls fan going back to Daggerfall, but I'm not even looking forward to ES6 anymore, I have serious doubts I'll buy it. I intend to wait and see indepth post launch reviews before making a decision, it's certainly not on my must buy list anymore post Starfield.

It sure looks like there will be new competition what ever happens. There is news today about that as a matter of fact.

I dont know if its true but new undreamed of computer technology just developed basically. It was on the news but who knows if its true or how soon it will be in use.

A hard drive like 1000x faster than anything out now to be specific.

Already said its just the news and may be true or not.
