Well, have at it boys & girls. Help the noobs out. Does it work like Skyrim? Make it simple. I posted this to help people new to this. I want to see what works for others.

Pretty much the same as Skyrim, Fallout.
There are some here that are likely better informed about order than me, or at least pay attention to it more, but I've always ordered along these lines and have rarely experienced any issues...

: anything official
: patches
: core/functionality
: UI
: gameplay
: character customisation
: textures
: visuals/environment
: outpost building
: ship building
: weapons
: outfits
: companions
: events/quests/locations

I use MO2, so my perspective is built around that - the order can be flexible at times, some individual mods further down I might sometimes fine tune, for example if a new location mod overwrites a texture that I've already included and prefer I will disable it in the location mod.

Thats basically what I would have said as well, that's a solid ordering guide.

I also recommend using MO2 'Mod Organizer 2' for Bethesda Games, its specially tailored for them, & has lots of quality features to streamline & handle things. Nexus has their own excellent mod manager, but its only good for all other games except Bethesda IMHO.
