Haters are Winning?

I have this game in my wishlist and had planned to buy it this winter sale.

I was surprised that the discount went up from last year. As I remember, last year it was only 20%-30% discount. This year is 40%.

This can only mean that the haters are winning the "war" in hundreds of forums. So to all haters out there, great job in spreading hoax, lies, and hate about this game.

Keep on doing it endlessly, so I can enjoy 50% discount by next year.

I'll say this as someone who is not a "hater". This isn't a bad game by any means, it just not as engaging and Bethesda's previous games. It does get a lot of irrational hate though. Definitely wait for a really good discount though, It was never worth the initial price for sure!

Most of the haters seem to hate the low reviews and rankings of a game they bought, more than that they do not like the game itself.

Up until a month ago, threads were posted about why there were no offers with bigger discounts, arguing that it was unthinkable that at this point the game would still cost its price with hardly any offers. Now that a good offer arrives, threads are still being published to criticize, but in this case with the opposite argument.

The point is to throw garbage under any pretext.

I truly know how difficult and complicated it is to create a AAA game. But no matter what, I would still pursue huge discounts as much as possible.

Getting a AAA game, with maximum discount is like getting pure gold in my backyard. Just like when I got Witcher 3 with 90% discount. Boy, that game was pure gold.

I'm hoping Starfield will be my next gold, based on the tremendous hates I read from since it was launched.

If the "haters" are winning then maybe they should tell us what they won.

I have 2089.9 hours of play with a game I felt engaged in playing. For the cost of 5 cents for every hour.

They have....As far as I can see they have nothing for their time and money.

Correlation does not mean causation. I highly doubt the "haters" had anything to do with a specific game getting a higher percentage discount as time passes. It happens for most if not all games.

Witcher 3 has been recommended by 96% of 812k users on Steam.
Starfield has been recommended by 56% of 160k users...

Starfield has also been available for free on Gamepass since day one and updated with a microtransaction store.

It's just a bad game and as such, sooner or later it had to come down from its absurd price....
I suppose the DLC hasn't come down in price....I don't know...I haven't looked, it's just not bad, it's pathetic.....

I mean, its the perfect time for many poeple to take a load off and sit down with a game to play. Whatever the game may be. Publishers know this also.

I wouldn’t necessarily call them hater but yeah, they’re definitely winning and honestly that gives me some hope for humanity. People are starting to see through the hype and call out games like Starfield for what they are: overpriced, underwhelming and undeserving of the praise some fans give them. If the trend continues maybe we’ll finally see more reasonable pricing for games that actually deliver on their promises.

It was 20% on Summer sale and 30% on Winter sale last year. This season, it's 40%. So it can be 50%++ on the next Summer sale or Winter sale.

I won't die waiting for another 2 seasons for this discount. I still have 230+ of other games in Steam. So no rush for me.
