But it'd help us a lot if you'd provide what error info the bluescreen gave you...
Did not have a chance to see the blue screen error f reset with in a couple seconds.
my first guess is a faulty RAM bar, my 2nd is power supply, my 3rd is temperature
1st: re-plug RAM bars
2nd: check power plugs
3rd: check cooling
and it couldnt hurt to re-plug PCI devices
event viewer is a bunch of different things
-Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0
-Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation. BugCheckProgress was: 0x00040049
-I saw TPM Error so i also tried disabling TPM in the BIOS. and still crashed after a few min.
Hardware does not seem like a problem due to the fact i can play other games and it does not crash. The only other game that crashed randomly was Osiris New Dawn. Just those 2.
Your PC hardware and software is fine. It isn't your fault the game crashes. Refund it if you can, but if you can't don't waste your time fighting it. When new updates come out just update on Steam and Start it. If it works, it works.
I even rest the TPM for windows.
I can boot into my save game where i am in a cave and as soon as i get to a loading section instantly BSOD and restart.
It sounds like a power issue to me.
Also, you can go to discord and ask. One answer was: While you run the game, make sure to close discord...
I'm not gonna lie, as much as I despise Starfield I think you're dealing with a hardware issue here. Crashing to a blue screen and restarting screams faulty RAM or CPU. I'd start by running a memory diagnostic and checking your CPU temps and stability. Starfield might be a mess but even it shouldn't be that catastrophic on a functioning rig. Your rig is more than fine.
So it's not just happening with this game but with at least one other game, good info.
This is a BSOD error which IMHO is going to be either a hardware issue or an OS issue.
This can be highlighted/seen happening when some software does certain things that call on the fault to do something.
Is this a laptop you are using or a desktop?
I think you might get closer to the cause if you can see what the BSOD error is and then google it to see what the error is generated by. Maybe create a video of it happening on your mobile phone so you can review the video after and see the error to search it. That's only going to get you closer to a cause and may not point it out exactly.
It could be a piece of hardware that has or is in the process of dying or it could be (and i think this is more likely) that your OS is, corrupted/not working as intended.
For me I would just blow away the hard disks and begin a complete reinstall, but I know that's overkill for many people. You could spend time hunting down an issue in the OS or just start clean, depends on how much time you want to give to the problem.
I advise that you :
A) - Perform a test on your hardware (with some testing software) that can check it all and stress test it to see if there is a fault.
B) - If no hardware fault is found then I would assume it is the OS and you should back up the really important stuff so you can remove partitions to do a clean install of your OS. This is where it could get a little different for laptops and desktops.
