More enemies in space combat mod?
Are there any mods that increase the number of enemies spawned in space encounters?

Or a mod that adds new repeatable encounters with more enemies than usual?

If you are enemies to the Crimson Fleet you can Jump to the The Key Location and have quite a battle. I think their normal spawn is around 5, however I have encountered up to 11 ships (once) and numbers in between.

Not counting the 3-4 PB Turrets that DON"T respawn.

I have completed that quest chain allied to sysdef, so that's a no go, but thanks.

Isn't it reported that Serpentus?? has a lot of enemy spawns?

That is correct, but what I want is more enemies per spawn. Usually you get 2-4 ships per encounter.

I would like to see way more as a mod.

I actually liked it, but it seemed a post game (after the quest lines) or NG type mod.

One thing I really liked is removing all the annoying Flavour encounters (grandma, warrenty ship, tourists, etc.)

May put it back in the next time I play.

Thanks, but as far as I understand these increase the number of encounters but not ships in those encounters. I am looking for more ships in encounters.

I believe there are some global variables which can be set to 100% to increase the encounters. Or maybe it's just make the chance of an encounter 100%. I'm not really sure as i have not had the occasion to adjust these variables. I just remember seeing them while searching for other ones.

Later today I will be playing around in the creation kit and i will see what I can discover.

Jump to high level systems.

More and harder enemies there. Add jumping to and fro between two systems on the right hand side of the map* - e.g. Bohr and Fermi - should give you quite a bunch of encounters with 3 Starborn IV ships, Va'ruun and Ecliptic flotillas with dual C-Class ships, etc. etc.

Also fun that might tickle that hunger: Get the "Wanted" trait, and fire at one of the Bounty Defenders before going after the Bounty Hunters... ...they might not get highlightet in your reticle early in the fight, though, and might not even be targettabl at first. But once you hit one, they duly all turn red.

P.S.:
*Don't just jump to the star itself, but target a different planet or moon each time you jump...

Hehe, I've been trying to say now in all my comments and the OP that I am looking for MORE enemies per spawn or encounter. I am not looking for more encounters themselves, which Dark Universe and jumping to high level systems does.

Seems like such a mod does not exist.

Try the creation engine subreddit, youtube vids, & discord for making mods. Increasing the quantity of ships in battle seems like a simple variable to tweak, there are battles already that have more than 10 ships i've seen, without modding that aspect.

There are many mods focused around space battles on Nexus, or that this bit is increased, along with other aspects, but none that I've tested myself, you'll have to dig thru them to see on nexus mods, or try some of those mentioned above, they may increase quantity of ships as well as encounters.

So far I have seen the prefix SE_ as in Space Encounter in the creation kit when searching the all tab. But I don't know where those are located. Opening them reveals ways to add more ships to an encounter, BUT, there seems to be space markers for each ship that goes up to a max of eight. So that may be the limit. Don't know for sure.

Ive not looked into that aspect on CK yet, but perhaps they limit 8 per faction? Or 8 per wave? In some battles as you defeat a wave, another set comes in. Another thought, if there's only 8 allowed, perhaps you could double the amount that spawn per marker, so 16 would spawn. Im sure you'll run up to some limits though, they put them there for system stability, just takes some tinkering so you can suss it out, & see what restrictions can be massaged lol.
