It's all these little encounters that negate the lazy developer comments being leveled here non-stop.
Did they take some shortcuts? Sure. Are there parts of the game I wish were more fully developed (fashion, furnishings and decor, ground and atmosphere vehicles, etc.)? Absolutely! But they aren't done with DLCs yet. And Bethesda game are deliberately the easiest games to mod, and there are already mods out there to address at least some of these concerns.
Overall, Starfield remains one of my favorite games (though maybe for different reasons than Cyberpunk '77 or other, more complex and challenging ones).
I can't even imagine the work that 200,000 lines of dialog including voiced dialog took to get done.
