Did you take at least 1 level of the Ship Targeting Perk Line? It should be the furtherest Right Perk/skill on the Top. Right above the Shield Perk in the second row on the most right. Purple Section.
Yep, I'm on the part where you're supposed to use that skill to kill 5 ships, but it remains at 0 of 5 no matter what I try doing.
I just tried getting up out of the Captain's chair during a 1 on 1 battle, but the R key still didn't seem to have any effect after making sure the Target Lock was still on ... I tried hitting WASD anyway, just in case, before reducing the enemy ship to cinders. Still didn't get any credit.
You should see a slow motion effect. You can try binding to another key.
Any Mods or Creations? Game is up to the current version?
No mods, just running the vanilla version as this is my first outing. Picked Bounty Hunter as my class, so I think Targeting Control Systems was already selected as one of my skills, but don't quote me on that one.
Yeah, no slow motion effect or zoom in of target like I've seen in some of the videos, or cycling of things to target on enemy ships, etc.
What would I need to bind? That's the part I'm having trouble comprehending, as I don't see anything outside of Select Target and Ship Action 1 as potential combat options.
Hmmm, I did use the R key for Reload/Sheath Weapon in the Main/Gameplay Mode .... maybe that's my issue, will try reassigning that one ...
Had to go to Ship Action 1 and designate 'R' as my secondary choice (it had been blank, with only Insert up there in the primary slot)
Also, although I did temporary reassign my Reload skill key, that didn't turn out to be necessary, so I can still R key reloads to my heart's content during personal combat.
Finally got a 1 out of 5 in that Targeting Skill column!
Yeah, it almost feels like VATS from Fallout when you do it ... or like drinking Blend from that pusher in Neon when you're in a fight, lol
Thanks for your suggestions and help :)
