Also the Mantis flag is arguably a detriment; having a bunch of enemies run off and jump out makes them more of a pain to kill, so slower Piloting progress and less EXP.
I just did, upgraded it to a B class.
I changed out the generator... Also the Grav drive.
Yeah but you have to have the license to fly the enemies ships, The whole reason I ranked up in Piloting is just so i could cap enemies, then I realized you could swap out generators and rebuild a ship from scratch and it made capturing better ships moot.
And I get that, I usually just cycle for the one with the best ship that I can cycle and cap it to sell. But the overall point remains, you don't need anything but one or maybe two ships, one you outfit as a massive hauler, and another you fit for maneuverability to hunt. With the shipbuilding being as cheesey as it is, there just isn't a reason to upgrade to a new ship. You can make a cheap Honda into a Lamborghini and then make the Lambo into a massive U-Haul.
Either way, im not into cheese, either with the donuts, or with the fleeting pirates, so I just make my own ships.
