Please implement headphones mode..
Just like the title says.
@bethesda : As it is now, when playing on headphones the sound field is broken and things that are clearly on screen in front of you sound as if they come from somewhere to the side and off screen.
This is made for tv's with speakers on their side but is broken on headphones. Please implement a proper headphone mode like most games that rely on positional audio do.

Seems like a problem with your own sound settings... Made sure to set windows to 2.1, and not 5.1 or other settings? (As per FO4's sound issue's with certain sound systems, this might cure it)

I've been playing with Headphones for over 150 hours so far and haven't come across any of those issues you mention.

I have no issue with surround sound in my headphones, I hear the sounds where they are coming from. Do you have a good set with 5.1 or higher?

I have bog standard stereo. The game does all the spatial rendering and it is configured for a tv setup with speakers next to the tv. This doesn't work for headphones.

Not sure what you mean. I have a stereo headphone. The game does the spatial rendering but makes it unsuitable for headphones.

I use razer headset with 7.1 surround emulation and haven't had any sound issues.

So, then its 100% your system settings. Both me and Blooper are both using headphones, and have none of the issues your facing...

I don't have a razor and i don't have 7.1 emulation. The game can obiously render positional audio, they just don't give us a setting to make it suitable for headphones.

I can't judge what you are or are not hearing and why that is.

Check your windows settings. That is where my issue was. Not with the game.

I tried enabling 'windows sonic for headphones' but it doesn't change the position that the sounds are rendered at. It does seem to sound more 'spatial', but the positions are still rendered for the tv situation and not for the headphones situation. This means that as soon as something goes off the side of the screen i hear it rendered almost completely to the left or right of me.
