Being a starborn
I defeated the hunter and emissary gained weapons from them and become a starborn. When I arise as starborn I had a single ship and new spacesuit but thats all. The weapons I received from the hunter and emissary all gone. Is this normal?

Which is better option? Stay or be a starborn?

Yeah it’s ng+.
Currently it’s a waste of time, reload a save and stay in your current universe

If you start NG+, yes.

YES - every NG+ (loop) you loose all:
* Money
* Missions
* Gear
You KEEP:
* Powers

BTW you still have the Frontier & your new ship

You also keep research.

Something I wish I knew before ng+

The artifacts used your items as scrap metal and rewelded them together to make that new ship, suit and send you across space time.

First time through I persuaded the Starborn to back down so I didn't get the weapons. It doesn't take much to get to the Unity again so I ran through and skipped the persuade options, killed the Hunter and Emissary to get their weapons then backed away from the Unity. These weapons are awesome, one-shot-kill for most enemies, definitely worth it.

Normal. You lose everything except your level, skills, and power. All gear and ships go away and you're give a Starborn suit and ship.

Wether or not you stay or go is up to you and if you want to lose all items and restart the quests in a new universe

The biggest benefit to doing the NG+ runs, is upgrading the Powers. Phased Time at level X, only cost like 18 power.

The Ship sucks, even at level VI. It's main benefit are two. A 30 jump range and it goes invisible when thrusting. So it's good for multiple NG+ runs.

The Starborn suit will upgrade to level X. And for starting a new a play run after doing 10 NG+ runs, is really good.

I defeated the Hunter without being Starborn....and everyone and their second cousin twice removed in Space port district getting involved.

But the Hunter is the only one I killed. Well De Rezezzed or whatever happens to them.

I hate Pretentious Aholes that think just because they Transcend Space and Time that they can saunter their fat egos around acting cryptic.
