Can no longer assign crew after Echoes of the Past
So I'm completing the 'Echoes of the Past' mission for the Crimson Fleet storyline and I get to the part where you fly the UC Prison Ship back to the Key

Only issue is because you have to use it to fly as part of the mission, it becomes my Home Ship by default. Because it only has 1 spot for crew, it boots all my other crew members out (4 total)

After re-docking, the game will NOT allow me to reassign anyone to my previous Home Ship (Star Eagle, fits 7). I've tried dismissing all crew prior to the prison ship, tried editing the ship in ship builder, asking them to reassign in person, loaded the game, synched the game, quit/reloaded etc. Nothing I do makes me able to reassign anyone back to my Home Ship after flying the bloody Prison Ship, and I can't find other threads similar to it.

Has anyone experienced this issue and knows a workaround?

Cheers

Hey, I was having the same issue as well directly after Echos of the Past. What I ended up doing was selling the UC Prison Shuttle at a landing zone. This fixed the issue and allowed me to reassign crew back to my original home ship.

But I really hope they fix this bug... it's pretty much forced onto you.

Ok I'll try that after work. Did you still have your Prison ship as your home ship when you sold it?

Really hope they fix that, very inconvenient

I think I found a solution, though my bug was on the xbox, when you get off the ship at the key, switch to your main ship, then fast travel to another port with your main ship. I found that once I did that I could assign my crew back to the ship, and keep the UC shuttle. Hope this helps.

Can confirm this worked.
Sold the prison ship at New Atlantis and was back to normal

Thanks all

I had the same issue although changing ship and changing port did not help. All that was required for me at least, was to register the ship. Once I registered it everything was back to normal...
