Let’s be real, why are pronouns actually in the game?
On a real point of view, why did Bethesda actually take the time to add pronouns and other things into the game that no one ever asked for? What’s even the actual reason. Back in the day no one ever gave a crap, why do devs now? What’s the reasoning?

Real answer is probably because it's a cheap and easy way to win some social brownie points, since the game is in first person and pronouns are for when people are talking about you, not at you.

Edit: The conspiracist in me might also suggest that some PR nutter read "Beautiful Trouble" by Andrew Boyd and thought that suckering his boss into turning their product into a political lightning rod was worth the sales loss.

Also, did anyone else realise Bethesda's office is like 20 minutes out from DC? It never really occurred to me, but it explains a lot.

It still blows my mind that pronouns are making people have meltdowns I voted for trump twice & I plan to vote for him again so I'm no leftists but this is silly like microaggression levels of silly it's just a stupid choice you can ignore at the very start of the game that you don't even have to interact with it.

But humans are binary, so wouldn't non-binary mean you're not part of humanity?
Is forcing your limited ideology onto other people giving something to you? A feeling of importance? Or maybe power? social Unity? Just asking.

Let people be, what they want to be. I don't think a lot of non-binaries are trying to forbid you, to be, whatever you think, you are. Just leave other people alone.

Pronouns are real. They exist in the real world. They were simply making the game more realistic. Too realistic for you? I'm sure plenty of people asked for them. A better question to ask would be, why would anyone have a problem with it? Why would you take the time to even ask the question? Did they forget to add your preferred pronoun?

Maybe try rewriting that so it makes sense. Are you a young nerd? Were you a young nerd?
That grammar is indeed cringe worthy.

I'm not offended by the pronoun option. It's a blink and miss it moment in the first few dialogues. Half the time, your character is referred to as "they" anyways in the news or other dynamic blurbs.

I AM offended by the strict two choices for character creation bodies that BOTH look feminine. Not one male character in the game has a normal "masculine" butt. Even the clothing is designed to make all butts look slightly feminine.

No, but it's funny that some snowflakes are so butthurt that pronouns will make them not buy/play it.
Even funnier that despite their loud antics it's a best-selling game.
So no one is going to buy it because this thing was included, but there are people who won't buy it because of its inclusion.

Therefore, from a financial standpoint, it makes literally no sense to spend money including it. So why did they include it?

No one was going to buy it *specifically* because they were included. But they add to the environment and world they wanted to create, so it makes sense to include it from an artistic and expressive point of view.

Some people are snowflakes who claim pronouns hurt them and they won't buy it. However, they are also LOUD and "No such thing as bad publicity" is literally a Bethesda trademark.

Plus, the whole "Go Woke Go Broke" thing is literally just nonsense and is pretty visible to anyone who takes any time to look at the finances of companies that "Go Woke". Hell, even with people being pissy about Bud Light, the advertising and attention alone made them money. Look at their historic sales drops during that time and how it affects their sales, then look at the year of the controversy. Yeah, people were ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and some boycotting them, but overall Anheiser-Busch (the parent company) made BANK and limited their losses during a yearly period of time they typically have losses almost double of what was expected from the shenanigans.

If you're a snowflake who can't handle pronouns, then don't play the game. If you can handle them and don't care, then play.

♥♥♥♥♥ isn't going to change it, in fact, it's just gonna put more $$$ into Bethesda's pockets.

I am going to remind you new gen liberals. Literally NO ONE CARES about random alphabet pronouns in video games in the past… why suddenly now does every leftist care? Tell me this isn’t politically motivated without telling me it’s politically motivated. That’s the issue here - it’s disgusting that a world which is supposed to let us escape, is still pushing the same political trash into our family room. Not just in video games but every other part of the entertainment industry. It’s just tacky and gross.

I've previously mentioned that the reason you've been encountering LGBTQ+ representation more frequently in video games and various media is due to a response to ongoing attacks and violence against the LGBTQ+ community by certain conservatives. The intention behind this visibility is to normalize their presence in different aspects of life, such as in video games, with the hope that it contributes to reducing violence and discrimination. Want to see less gays? Stop attacking them I guess.

Because it's not about a simple prompt, it's everything that ideology promotes and forces: men in girl's bathrooms, men in women's sports, women erasure, teaching young and confused kids that they can switch their gender with expensive drugs and horrifying surgeries, thereby leading to terrible life outcomes for real human beings.
