that bug is specific to user owned properties afaik, ive used the basement and bedroom containers for over 180 hours of gameplay - no losses yet

Yes. The items aren't guaranteed to stay in certain places [where the game 'resets' environments,] but you really can plunk a "Decorate" panel anywhere.
No problem. New Atlantis is one of the areas that has several resets along the course of the plot that changes the entire environment, but the Dream Home is in a specific [protected] cell anyways.
