Extremely Choppy fix?
Anyone else having issues running this game?

I'm trying to run it on a HP Omen Laptop 2080 super, 16gb, I7-10750 processor.

I don't feel like this is a hardware issue as in between the lag spikes the game is super smooth and all my other games run problem free.

I've googled for answers but all i can find are generic answers, anyone else have this issue and if so did you find a fix?

If the game is installed on a HDD, that is your issue. This game absolutely requires a SSD

I bought an external SSD just for this reason, if anything it made it worse though.

Seriously?

Install the DLSS patch, my dude. You can't use the frame generation portion, but DLSS will net you 15-20 FPS for a smoother experience.

This game is just unoptimized to all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I'm CPU bottlenecked like crazy on my 4090, and I've got a 5800X3D.

Get it, install it, read the settings and set it up. It took me 10 minutes and completely changed my playing experience from eye cancer to actually enjoying the game. 🤷‍♂️

There's the problem.

Really though it performs poorly on all computers, especially(this time around)with Intel/NVIDIA graphics cards.

On paper your laptop should run it as you know. Is your Windows Power Plan on High Performance rather than Balanced or Power Saver? This seems the most likely/obvious culprit. After that I'd check for background processes that might be killing it.

Definitely check SSD for what transfer rates you're really getting.

FSR option will give you the same performance as DLSS tho.... I tried the DLSS mod on a 3080 Ti and it gave me the same performance as the ingame FSR option
