Or simply fly to the Wolf System, you can sell your Contraband there, No Scanners.
Put less kg of contraband compared to max kg of the shielded cargos.
Don't forget it's not 100% chance, but way more than 50% so it should not be detected all the time lol
Where you ever arrested before?
this is potentialy worth testing for you.
or you just save the game let them arrest you.
and then look for all of your items in the chest that may or may not have a lock close to your prison cell and steal all of it back (potentialy stealth skill needed)
the fine you pay will be nothing compared to the smuggeld goods you have if you have some of them.

What's better, is if Contraband gives XP instead of simply money, like for every 100 credits earned, you earn 10 XP, so making a profit of contrabands on say 1000 is 100 XP, and a profit of 10,000 is 1000 XP.
But that wouldn't work if you can buy back the contraband, so it would have to be a system that takes it from you and automatically converts it without relying on Vendor credits.
Like a speech option when talking to a Trade Authority vendor, to 'sell contraband' and it automatically happens.
