Are the Cargo Hall Habs useless?
I am shocked that the cargo halls do not actually add to the total cargo. The only thing I can think of is that this is just another one of those things that Bethesda screwed up, or they expected the modding community to fix it.
Does anyone even find these things useful?

It is for roleplaying purposes like many of the habitats are

I'm not familiar with the ship building, but it does sound like a connector piece. I know there are pieces you can use in your builds that just help you fill out the ship and probably add nothing but mass. So a hallway to connect cargo to something else wouldn't actually store anything.

There's lots of room to add cargo containers instead :lunar2019grinningpig:

If they upped the mass of the cargo habitat modules, yeah, I'd like to see them give some cargo space. Makes sense.

Yeah they are pretty useless unless you need to build a bigger ship and need some wider sections. Otherwise, pretty pointless.

Yes those sections of the ship should add cargo capacity but lets just say "thinking" or asking "questions" around here isnt a good idea.

Wider sections can be done by building cargo modules, no need to build a useless room if you can fill it with cargo space full of loot :lunar2019grinningpig:

I also assume this is for people that want to walk inside the parts in the ship. Can you walk through the cargo modules? If not, that would be the purpose of the halls, most likely.

Well this is a better topic than my last one which was "Wtf is that Bethesda?". I need to learn to ask questions better.

I can tell you, I am very grumpy from all the trolls and admittedly am snapping at people. I'm kinda-sorta sorry I'm doing it, but I'm also just peeved enough to not really care. When people don't seem to have an agenda in their post, then I'm not on my guard. If that's what you call "asking questions better", then yes I concur it will be helpful!

I think they opted to do it this way so that those Habs don't add tons of mass to your ship, which they would need to, if they added cargo capacity.

You can use them 'cosmetically' to get the interior/exterior layout you want without making the ship super heavy. I'm not saying it's the most logical choice, or the best choice, but I do think there is SOME sense to it.

Cargo modules do not allow connections to the sides. That makes them useless for wider construction. I have extensively gone through the parts for variants.

Its just for space that is it. A ton of people want make crazy things or big monster ships its just a filler module that you can walk threw instead of havign an empty one.
