Game stuck in background

Whenever I launch the game, it sometimes gets stuck in the background (appears in taskbar, but the window won't come up). Does anyone have a fix for this? (My PC is very old, so maybe that's the problem somehow)

My fix for that issue is making sure these are under [Display] in the StarfieldPrefs.ini file:

bBorderless=0
iSize H=1080
iSize W=1920

Of course, use your proper screen res values.

Oh man, I tried to change it from borderless to fullscreen before, should've gone into the .ini files. Thank you so much :)

Can also go into task manager, find the game and tell the application to maximize if needed.

Sometimes you can force a game that won't show up to show by pressing ALT ENTER to get it to go full screen. I would imagine what has happened is the game is stuck loading or doing something else and did not yet process the message from Windows to display the window. Usually this means the game is hung, but not always. I've had other things in Windows steal the focus from a game that was loading and it caused this.
