Paradiso quest seems broken (spoilers)
Am doing the quest investigating the strange ship orbiting the planet with Paradiso. Pick option to equip ship with anti-grav drive so the colonists can settle elsewhere. Engineer Amin gives me three assignments to facilitate equipping the drive. Two I complete without incident. But the third cannot be completed.

The one I cannot complete involves rerouting power from the port cryopump to the auxiliary cryogenic radiator. I open the appropriate terminal, select port cryopump when asked from where I want to reroute power, then select auxiliary cryogenic radiator when asked to where I want the power routed -- and I get the message "Error -- Cannot Complete Instruction."

My history with Bethesda goes back to Daggerfall, so I try all the usual fixes: reloading saves, trying assignments in different order, talking to Amin (who says I have one more assignment to complete, without more), even not following the instructions and routing power from every option to every other option. Error-- Cannot Complete Instruction.

I would be interested if others have had this problem or if anybody has a fix I haven't tried. The other options would be to blow up the ship's reactor and kill all the colonists, or turn them into indentured servants on Paradiso, neither of which I am going to do.

So I guess I'm going to leave the ship in orbit, until Bethesda comes up with a patch. Hope the colonists don't run out of food meanwhile.

It's the turbopump, not the cryopump
  • reroute power from the port turbopump to the auxiliary cryogenic radiator
  • turn the plasma runoff inhibitor to 5%
  • decouple the magnetic flange pipe enclosures from the auxiliary module assembly

Make sure you're picking the right ones. There are more options than the 4 that appear when you open the terminal (and the wording is very similar to the actual right answer) and you have to scroll down to show the right option.

It might actually be a bug of course, but I had the same problem.

Scrolling down worked. Didn't expect a scrolling function on that screen. Thank you.

God Bless you. I’ve been trying to figure this out for an hour. Stupid bloody dialog boxes!
