Snipers not working vs wildlife? "Depleted Uranium Rounds"
I must be stupid or doing something wrong.

I did the Red Mile run for the second time, the beasts were at the same level as when I did it the first time around. I have a sniper with depleted uranium rounds doing 245 dmg but barely putting a dent on any of those critters, could barely see their health moving and they were level 6 critters ... some of them.

Had to take out my trusty pistol which does 112 dmg and it was far more effective, this one has armour piercing rounds.

Anything I am missing here? none of the weapons I am using are spreading.

I also just had a fight against humans where it seems the pistol was far better when "head shooting". All in all I can´t seem to get snipers to work, admittedly only used 2 and both had depleted uranium rounds.

The railgun sniper and the lawgiver are (to me) the only decent guns you can turn into true snipers, you can make marksman rifles out of most rifles if you modify them though.

Depleted Uranium rounds actually do less damage than regular Armor Piercing rounds though, and that seems like a bug to me.

I tried penetration rounds and that seemed to do the trick, you can very effectively stealth snipe from a 100 yards and get tons of easy xp that way if you find a nice plain planet with lots of critters. Indoors is a different problem as enemies seem to smell and hear you from any corner.
