From all the companions of the constellation, Barett is the best
All other companions loks like the have a stick in ther a**, but Barett just wanna chill with in Space. You could walk into the Armageddon and Barett would jsut say: Wanna have a drink?

10/10 Companion

Imho:

Sarah Morgan: Hell no, stay away from that nagging witch.
Barrett: No, just no.
Sam Coe: Cuteness factor because his Daughter joins your crew as well. Somewhat bearable.
Andreja: Best of all the really bad companions.
Vasco: still stuck in that door on *insert random planet here*

Barrett made such a bad impresson on me in the intro that I still haven't gone to pick him back up yet.

So far Autumn McMillan is getting my vote for favorite companions. Shame she's not romancable.

none of the companions seem that great to me, always underfoot, getting in the way, blocking shots, talking when they should be shutting it, doing nothing when they should be acting. the game is much more enjoyable solo, imo.

but if i HAD to pick one I'd pick Andreja, mostly because i like her voice.

Wish we had some chaotic evil or lawful evil companion, one can wish

Sam: I am not his family therapeut, he is a gron up man, that could fix his marriage himself.
Andreja is your clishey goth girl.

Barret is just chill. Every other companion is a wuzzy

I liked Sam Coe at first. But now all he wants to do is talk about his feelings, and idc. Just having to try to skip trough laggy dialog that dont matter otherwise he will be "gotta minute" every minute.

They really need to limit the 'got a minute' stuff for when you're in the ship or the lodge. As much as I love Andreja she was not shutting up in the middle of the last mission I was doing, frequently interrupting plot stuff.

Honestly the note in 'activities' is fine.

All he wants is to jump you. Sorry but i do not swing that way. Don't even dare to use the bed on the ship with him around.

My thoughts on each companion so far in no particular order:

Sarah: Not ideal unless you're intentionally aiming to be a boy scout. I can understand how some cannot put up with her posh, uptight personality, but I've come across worse. Bring her along if you plan to stick with doing morally good things.

Barrett: Chill dude. Would crack open a beer with him and share war stories. I dig how he speaks the occasional otomonopoeia depending on what you're doing. Only marginally less grumpy than his peers.

Sam: Voiced by the same guy as Adam Jensen. Interesting backstory and cool theme, but he's so stressed out much of the time. Other than that, he really should leave his kid back at The Lodge before he sets off on such dangerous missions.

Andreja: Even less of a personality than everyone else, but so far, I get she feels out of place. Because she really feels a bit out of place.

Vasco: Do neither of the Big Four interest you or go against how you roleplay? Bring the robot instead. Bonus points because he always remembers your name.

Lin: Complex, but gets interesting after speaking with her for a bit. Stuck being an outpost manager regardless.

Heller: I wish Bethesda did more with this guy. Easily the friendliest, least uptight companion so far aside from Vasco. Kind of a shame his only perks are outpost-related and he's got no side quest. Both underrated and underdeveloped.

I'm thinking next character I make, I'll roll for the Adoring Fan perk and see how that companion compares.

Final thoughts: Barrett and Heller are so far my two favorite companions with Sam and Sarah close behind despite my nitpicks.

Believe me, Adoring Friend is really like the guy in Oblivion, by Azura , by Azura the great arena champion. Constantly blabbling
