I can't fire any weapons

Yesterday I was playing normally without any problems. And today, for no reason at all, I can't use weapons. When I click to fire the weapon, it animates the weapon's recoil but the weapon itself does not fire. I've tried other old savegames and it's the same. Everything indicates that it is the game itself. Has anyone had this problem?

Try to repair the game files with steam.

Remove all mods and test functionality

That happened to me once but I think it went away on restarting the game.

The main way to fix this is to either change your gender through an in game vendor or through the console command “sexchange”. Through this however doing this in a space station will cause your ship to despawn.

The logic seems to be that part of your actor status (ie is player able to shoot guns?) breaks and changing gender resets your statuses.

Just a warning using the console command will break achievements so you'll have to use a mode to re-enable them, assuming you care about them.

For some reason I can only use melee weapons, the rest of the weapons don't work..
I've already reset the game, checked the files and even removed the mods I had and it still doesn't work.
