Unique Ship Modules

Hey all. Couple questions.

Trying to buy some ship modules from Deimos/HopeTech etc. But can't. Do you have to attach them to a viable ship build to purchase the part? I don't want to tear apart my ship to attach new parts... I want new the parts for later ships.

If I purchase these parts can I use them later at my landing pad at my outpost? Or do you have to purchase them at the specific dealer everytime you use them? Say I want to have 2 ships with a unique bridge... do I have to buy it twice? or does it unlock for all future builds?

Brain is hurting trying to figure this game out... any help would be appreciated... thanks.
