Ship didn't land on the outpost
I build a outpost with serval resurce spots AND a big landingplatform.
But my ship always stay 500m away from my outpost. There was my first landingspot (maybe) too search for ress. If build the Platform again, dropped the ship at other spots too refresh the landing spots. Nothing worked. Someone other ideas?

Make sure there are no other building piece encroaching on it. Make sure it is not down in a hole with slopes close to the pad on more than two sides. Switch your home ship to another ship in ship builder, then switch it back. Log out and log back in. Finally, you can try deleting the pad, closing out of the game, logging back in and replacing it.

Switching home ships works for a lot of players.

Ships right around the size limit have a tendency to land somewhere else. For example at the home you get with the trait normally the ship lands right out front. My ship is slapping the length limit and now it lands over the ridge about 600 m away. If your ship is too big it will pick a new spot.

If the ship is big enough you will need the larger landing pad, not the one you can build right away. Otherwise the ship will land in a flat "ship landing spot" as close as possible on the ground.

You have to make sure the marker you land on is highlighted yellow. Happened to me some times. Then I figured, sometimes the yellow marker disappears and turns white while pressing X to land. And then the ships is NOT going to land on the outpost, instead it lands on the place were the seed was created (every time you land on a coordinate, the game creates a seed for that area).
And because this spot is not so far away were your base is, it looks like the pilot was drunk and landed outside of the base perimeter.

Wow so fast and so many answers. Thanks a lot.
@Galadhlinn: it is on flat land. No other buildings. Are higher than the landingplatform and it is the big one. I will try it with another home ship.
@Dahak: hmm i have the spacer hyena right now. But before it was the razorleaf. Both make the landing at the outpost too a wandering Sightseeing Tour... without sights. XD
@aandaie: i build the big one. ;)
@Topper: hmmm sounds plausible. I look closely next time. Is the seed there after switching the landingspot? I dropped the ship at serval points away from my outpost so there isn`t a "free" landingspot left near my outpost.

Im having the same issue.....im using the freestar ranger ship that is well within the small landing pad size. However, it is still not landing on any of my small landing platforms in any of my outposts. Platform is not in an odd place or anything in the way. Ive tried deleting it and putting it back. Ive even tried to make sure I was selecting the outpost for landing and not some other landing sight near it to no avail. Why can I not land??

Build the landing pad with shipbuilder. If the ship doesn't land on it, go to the terminal and enter ship modifing. Leave without modifing and your ship will be on the pad.

Yeah I see that as a work around but thats so annoying to have to do that everytime I land in one of my outposts. Bethesda needs to fix this issue. Seems like outposts werent tested properly IMO

Outposts are not "untested," they are broken by design. The entire system of storage, linking, placement of structures, attacks, robots and crew members and so on is broken.

I played with them for about 10 hours and the list of missing features, bugs and poor design is too long to write down.

They are a waste of time except for cosmetic purposes and storing illegal goods.

You should only have to do it that one time. After that it will use the landing pad as normal.

Eh with that long of a list of "broken" features and items in the game, sure seems to me that means it wasnt tested very well. If you can find them all in the amount of time you were in the game....why didnt the devs find all of them in their play test before launch? Get where im coming from?

I rather suspect that fixing bugs was abandoned, since basic mechanics are already flawed. "Beating a dead horse". Only related to the outposts.

Finally, the entire outpost needs to be reworked.

I for one have put 1/3 of my skill points into outposts. It just feels a little bit bad and massively overshadows my gaming experience. So I'm a little irritated right now, so forgive me for being rude. I need to vent a bit and accuse Bethesta of intent (incompetence) instead of just calling it "unfinished".

Sooo @namsum: thx it worked.
@ bored peon: not really. I have to do it every time.
I did it the hole time aaand after that my ship disappeared in every city. I had to go too the shipworker and take another one. At the outpost my hyena stand there on the Platform an in that the other ship ( how i have picked too fly away from city)
At the end my hyena was... semi invinsible. The hole outer body disappeared. Restarted the Game and all i mean ALL things are good. Ship os there and land always at the Platform. I don't know why... xD
