Andreja
When did you dump Sarah for Andreja as both companion and crew? Immediately? Or did it take you a few minutes?

Just curious.

Hasn't happened yet. I dump every member of Constellation back once their quest is over. Then I race out of their before someone else can add something to my list of things I don't want to do.

And here is the thing. I would do a lot more if I saw more effort out of them. I HATE being the only one doing stuff. Half of Constellation won't even come watch the Artifacts being placed. You get 2 at most when you place.

Why Can't I randomly run into them out in space or on a planet?

AT LEAST PRETEND YOU GIVE A #($*.

Immediately, on both playthroughs where I did the story.

Didn't meet her until 30 hours in as I did other quests... Sarah has been a pretty boring companion and she just feels lame. Her companion quest was also extremely boring.

Now I have Andreja with me but she behaves like we have known each other for the whole game even though I just met her.

The game is so bad man.

So if they are tied to a story they need to be at the starting script point, they can't be somewhere randomly wondering. PS... They are not real people, they are video game characters that follow a script.

The nice thing about Vasco is that it doesn't constantly tell me about it's past lovers and then dig a toe into the dirt, refusing to look me in the eye, and trying to decide if she or he will be a tsundere or yandere with a chimaeric ronin who has an unhealthy relationship with battle rifles and a sword.

All companions are the same: they are bullet sponges for both the enemy AND you since they're always stepping in front of you while you're firing ranged weapons. Dump all, take Terra Firma and Introvert traits and boost Isolation skill. Never was a Bethesda Companion that measured up to anything beyond an annoying pain in the ass.

Immediately :D

During my 2nd playthrough. Sarah just spent too much time hem-hawing about for me to even find interesting. Andreja is a little more... complicated in her life. More interesting.

I don't get worked up about them. Just starting NG+2 and only had Sarah, Sam and Andrej (and Barret because he's forced at some point) and not worried about the others as there's going to be a time that I focus on different parts of the game later. At some point, I'll worry about running their stories or dipping into what they are good at, what makes them tick.

Dogmeat, ED-E, Charon, Strong, Grannie/Auntie Lily, and Rex would be upset, but are they usually too busy killing stuff that looks sideways at the MC.

On a lot of the story arcs, you really don't want them with you if you're trying to do stealth. I tried to make it work, hoping some "no-kill" options would help the alignment more with them. More trouble than it's worth. I don't think you're going to find many games out there where you're not the only one doing things or interacting. There's always going to be quest-givers, standing 20 feet away from the quest objective, wanting you to have a short conversation that could have been had with a little loud speaking over the distance. 20 feet. You're going to do those quests. You'll collect things nobody else collect. In Starfield, the companions might not do anything, but they'll like you more when you loot that nice weapon! It's like you've kept seeing the milk spilled all over the floor for years, walked in it, even slid around in it, yet, you wait until NOW of all times, to complain that you're the only one doing anything. Welcome to the party you've been a part of for YEARS.
