From what Ive seen, I havent noticed anything out of the ordinary that people are complaining about.

I dont think this is a Starfield problem, but more a problem with internet no lifers. They read and watch things on the internet and think "OH MY GOD, THERES AN AGENDA!!!"

I don think theres an agenda. These rude ladies Ive been meeting are right on time. 20 years ago no one would have batted an eye at whats on display here. The problem isnt the wokeness. The problem is the brain washing of the mass to get offended and mad at every chance they get. Its ridiculous.

Theres nothing woke about this game. Not even the pronouns. And I say this as someone who is not a woke person. Im just an old boomer and this game is not what people say. The females you come across may be girl boss, but because I dont follow or care about internet drama or politics it comes off to me as funny and endearing.

I hate the word "snowflake". Its overused by both sides but I really feel its true... if you are offended by anything you consider "woke" in this game (things that have been in games since the 80s) then Im afraid to say... you may be a snowflake. Dont be a snowflake. Be a gamer and enjoy the game doods.

I feel like every person in this game I have met a comparable counterpart in the real world. Its pretty standard.

game's fine, guess those same people ignore that the leader of the cirmson fleet is male lol. as for offense, offense is taken, not given. just choose to filter it out and focus on the good side of things lol

I made this post after meeting the crimson fleets second in command. I was laughing the whole time she gave me a tour and then I realized... I bet this part made alot of internet no lifers seethe.

Part of the problem is that there is an agenda, so people who are aware of it are extra sensitive to it and looking for it.

That can lead to them sometimes overreacting and seeing it in places where it isn't really there.

People didn't bat an eye at it 20 years ago because it wasn't being forced then the way it is now.

On the same token, debate on these topics is not possible, at least not in most forums. Most people are just looking to vent and be validated. Since validation cannot happen unless there is a debate, they just keep making new threads because they are frustrated. And if someone does validate their take on something it just ends up in a circle jerk.

You'll notice in this game that there's more gay relationship than there is straight at times with named NPCs.

Sarah (and her mentor) and Barrett (and his dead husband) are the ones I found out early on, and apparently I noticed there is one NPC in the underbelly of Neon that works a restaurant, is a Russian male who has a Black male for a husband.

There will be a lot of these indicators and for some people it will be cringe. Especially since these NPC treats their partners like a business partner and not really as a romantic partner, and will speak in a manner like their other half only exists to comfort their own insecurities.

I was running around in The Well one time and heard a 'random' citizen NPC asking another NPC to marry them, and it looked like a black woman proposing to a obese fat woman for marriage, but then these NPC don't even say anything more and just stood there.

Yeah and thats why I said, its not a Starfield problem. Its a reality problem. People have become so enraptured in information and the things that dont affect them that they cant even enjoy a fictional game.

Oh I can ignore them, I can also screw with characters by shooting them if I wanted.

What makes you think that people are mad?
Maybe with enough NG+ there will be a universe where gay people won't exist, but Bethesda is likely going to piss off some group if they did that.
