Power From Beyond Bug?

I have a power from beyond quest to find the temple on guniibuu 2, i have searched HOURS on this planet for the temple, found dozens of locations but not the temple itself. Also when pulling up the scanner, the quest says i should be following the distortions but the scanner does NOT distort like it did for every other power from beyond quests. Did the temple not spawn? What is even going on!

Unfortunately I have this same bug. I get pointed to Guniibuu 2, where I should presumably pick up Telekinesis, as that's the last power I miss, but mission marker doesn't get marked on map, you can't set a course to the mission, and when I get to Gsutniibuu 2 there's no marker on surface to the "anomaly" as usual. I have a feeling though that bug happened somewhere way earlier. I went back two saves, lost hour trying to solve, but always the same. One temple before this bug was Omega at Altair 3, which was slightly bugged as well, I entered the "portal" or whatever, big ring, but I was kept in 1st person. Same happened on second retry with save before that temple. My powers screen also says I have 4 undiscovered temples, but I have 23/24 powers unlocked on that same screen. Also, I have "parallel self" unlocked somehow, even though I let Barret take that power hours before and dozen temples earlier. So either I got "parallel self" when I should've gotten Telekinesis, or something like that. I sort of give up, it's more of an OCD thing not having everything completed, than me really needing it, I only use personal atmosphere anyway. Since I went 2 saves back, I've made a save before asking Vlad (and getting bugged Guniibuu 2), so I'll continue without asking him, so at least I don't get weird quests hanging. , Oh, and when I went to try and land at Guniibuu at some place with hangars where I was sometime before during my playthrough ("explored" marker/note), just to check if scanner picks anything up, not only was scanner useless, but when landed I appeared under my own spaceship (instead at the helm in cockpit as usual), and some POIs nearby were all weird with containers abnd pickable items hanging in thin air etc. Anyway, I wanted to post mostly to give more info to others, and save you trouble of reloading earlier saves, if a save from half hozur and 2 temples prior did not help with bug, you're probably gonna have same though luck.

Just another note. I'd try exploring the planet, but - there is no "Scanner anomaly" type of landing marker at the planet. So all I could is land randomly all over the planet and hope to stumble upon it, which would take dozens of hours without any reassurance that it would actually work, could be all for nothing.

Now, if I had the landing site at least, scanner or no scanner, if temple was there I'd find it. Usually you can see it from your ship or nearby mountaintop. But... As I said, no landing marker, no mission marker, tried traveling between planets hoping for a trigger, no help. Maybe it triggers by something later on, that's why I left Vlad to rest a little, I'll do some side quests, then try revisiting Vlad. Who knows, maybe next time I don't even get same planet (if that's possible at all ;D )

I seem to recall at least one temple that was at a POI that was not named "Scanner anomaly". I found it by just landing and looking around at each of the POI's that showed up at all before having landed.

Ive heard swapping back to frontier can fix it. but it won't work for me.
I think it's fkt.
bethesda need to fix their game.
other than spawn locations the game is working fine.
(outer space spawns are broken as well for me) (fighting certain locations in space)

This is Not part of the 'Main Quest', its a Separate and Optional quest for Powers only
ive finished the game Ten times and have Yet collected all 24 Powers


OP and others, please look in the missions tab - make sure your on the correct "Misc" tab mission
Vlad gives you locations for 2 kinds of quest - the Artifacts, the main mission part (that should have an on planet mission icon) and the Powers temples, optional Misc missions (that never have this on planet icon)

you should also have an icon for the 'landing area' from space for both - you dont just land randomly and start looking

there is some issue with them so that may not help everyone but i fear a few are just getting confused with 2 sets of missions with the exact same menu icon in 2 Different tabs

Apparently it's only some players that have an issue. I got all the pieces without any problems. Did not get all the powers though. I did find temples at every point the quests took me.

constellation missions, reguardless of being a 'power mission' is not to be considered optional with the type of new game+ they have implemented. I should just finish the game without a core ability and not be able to level it up in new game plus? Kindly leave this discussion, this has already been discussed and will not be done by us with this issue. We are not dealing with an issue of a dozen people not realizing how quest markers work, this is a real bug that is not being fixed, thanks for insulting the intelligence of everyone that has reported this.

I should just finish the game without a core ability and not be able to level it up in new game plus? but any way you look at it, these Missions are Not part of the MAIN QUEST - so your statement i responded too was misinformation
your welcome to consider them part, thats your opinion, but the Fact they are in the Misc section AND you do Not need them for the MAIN story is what it is

i only gave an FYI that those facts are the facts
if you want to blow up the importance of them thats your right

the only misinformation that matters here is you trying to tell people they don't know how to navigate the quest log. do you have this bug? does someone you know have this bug? are you generally interested in helping people fix bugs? After about 3 hours of running around I finally gave up and looked up this issue (i'm on TAU CETI VIII B).
I left the planet and came back a couple of times with some generic missions in between.
Then I switched to the Frontier and returned again and finally started getting the more intense crackling scanner readings and it led me to the temple.

Not sure if switching to the Frontier was the fix, or just a random trip back, but it did finally work.

A good trick i've started is always save before you grav jump.. then if this happens you can reload.

I mean, he is 100% correct that they aren't main missions. If you can get to the unity without completing it is isn't a main mission.

Having said that, Sometimes the bug that has been described has a rather unfortunate issue: There is NO WAY to complete it without console commands. If the scanner doesn't work even when you are at the right spot, then even if you find the temple on your own, and go inside and take the power the quest won't advance. At that point your only option is console commands. You will also have to add the power as it likely won't actually be added despite going through a temple and "getting the power".
