One Giant Leap Mission Game Breaking Bug *SPOILERS*

I am on the mission One Giant Leap. In order to complete the mission you need to build the armillary on your ship. The armillary screen is black on all my ships. I tried to buy a new ship, I tried to rebuild my ship, I tried new ship parts.

I went to an outpost and built the armillary and once I do that it checks the box to build an armillary on my ship and now I just need to grav jump to reach Unity. I have grav jumped and nothing happens. I went back to my outpost and deleted the armillary there thinking it may fix the bug and then it goes back to build the armillary on your ship in the quest steps.

I am at a loss. Also the dude Raphael I saved is glitched out stuck on my razorleaf ship. I sold the ship, went into my new home ship no one was there. Bought the razorleaf again and he and my followers were back in the ship. From what I read One Giant Leap is the last mission of the main quest. I really want to finish this quest. Any ideas?

Go on your ship and take off then put 1 point in your grav drive and it should jump you.

I've tried that several times, also tried to max out grav as well. Waiting for a patch and playing side quests for now.

Just had this found a post that said build an outpost on a planet then build an artillery then you go back to the ship in space turn on grav drive and progress this worked for me

yup the armillary breaks/disappears if you have it installed on a ship then change ships
this is why you always have backup saves and keep an eye on new things that can break in bethesda games
it happened to me once but good job i noticed it and reloaded save from just before ship change
so next time remove it from current ship before changing ships
but i hope you find a fix for it bud

Tried that, once I do that I can’t grav jump inside the ship. It’s really broken. Plus that dude Raphael is just standing in the corner of my ship. Can’t kill him either.

Same issue here. Ive tried all work arounds including reloading and its broke. Hopefully an update will come out soon.

I had removed the armillary from my ship to finish off a couple of things and reinstalled it. Luckily I did a save game before I removed it because I ran into this issue when I tried to do that last grav jump. I reloaded the game I had saved before removing it and all was well. Considering how the NG+ works doing those missions I had done after removing it did not matter anyway nothing was lost by reloading the previous save

Don't finish building the armillary until you are ready to do the NG+. Once it is built and you remove it the bug will trigger

I am encountering the same problem with the black screen in which I cannot interact with it anymore after initiating the New Glimpses quest and attending the memorial.

same here cant interact with the screen, it shows Aktivate with E . but does nothing and stays black. i did change ships from the frontier to another. but played 30H after that. and did not realyse that this will be a problem. i did have all the other artefakts on my character. now at the last mision and after soso many side quest im standing here and cant go in to NG1 :(

yeah, it haver to build mine, but cant even get the damn prompt to build it on my ship......
