When do I unlock long scope crafting?

L36. I've maxed out Weapon Crafting skill and research and have a point in Special Projects, but I still can't seem to build long scopes for any of my weapons. And putting more points into Special Projects seems unrelated to mods -- seems more related to industrial workbench items.

Can we not craft long scopes? Or are they tied to some other skill I missed?

Yes, all research I can see is green and complete

Any. I recognize not all guns can be scoped, but NONE of my guns can.

I'm now L38 and have a host of legendary weapons, plenty of long rifles worthy of a long scope, etc. and it is never a crafting option.

I imagine most guns wouldnt have it as an option. If its not available on the MagSniper id worry.

the only gun that i saw that had a long scope option is the hard target

You may have discovered this by now, but the long scope is useless. It is very rare to have targets far enough away to be able to use it, and it is tricky to use as it tends to focus on the environment too much. I've taken mine back to a medium scope.
