Not sure about stability yet, just started using the driver to see how it goes.
Far less stable than previous patch 4672.
The crash is; Event ID 4101 ; Display driver igfxnd stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
I will try playing with the newer driver a bit longer to see if there is any difference, but so far several crashes within the space of an hour whereas before with the old driver, no crashes in a few hours play.
Yep can confirm the latest drivers are no good.
Intel is aware and is working on it, per their dev post on reddit.
The most frequent crashing I get is anything related to Jemison, staying in a crafting terminal for more than 1 minute on my ship, and activating missions via tab menu to track them, then closing the window which leads often to crashing.
Have found the crash logs in AppData\Local\Starfield but they are unreadable and make no sense, to top that off, it appears they dont even get sent to bethesda lol... fully useless. I can see all the crashes for me are graphics card crashes, see reference in windows logs too related to the drivers stopping working and restarting (thus game crashes).
So the only thing is to wait for Intel and Bethesda to play together nicely and make actually compatible and stable drivers and game patches.
Dont hold your breath, they left Intel Arc off the compatibility matrix right from the beginning.
No crashing in 3 hours, which i believe is a record for me at least.
Time will tell if it stays stable over time.
Performance is also somewhat improved in Jemison, was getting 20-22 fps before now up to 30-38 FPS with the settings in OP.
Still a far cry from what the card should be producing, but the game appears to be still somewhat half-baked.
Unlike all 82 previous crashes (yes... 82), this one did not get generated by a graphics driver crash (it appears in Windows event logs if it does).
Todd, please bake the cake more.
Though it has improved with the newest arc drivers, there are still frequent crashing occuring, especially in and around large cities such as Jemison.
