Intel Arc A770 "stable" settings (for me, at least :P) to help lessen the frequent crashing
Leaving this here in case it helps fellow Intel Arc users. This is on an Intel i5 Gen12 with 32 gb ram with game installed to a gen4 M.2 drive running on a 4k display at 60hz (60fps).

1. Arc driver Intel® Graphics Driver 31.0.101.4826 (clean install and reboot after finished)
2. Use the following mods from Nexus. Carefully follow all install and setup instructions.
- SFSE
- StarfieldUpscaler-ReShade
- REMOVE SHADOWS AND GTAO - MashedPotato

3. Modify your ini file as shown:
Where the file is:
C:\Users\YOURuserNAMEhere\Documents\My Games\Starfield\StarfieldCustom.ini

[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=

[Camera]

fFPWorldFOV=110.0000
fTPWorldFOV=110.0000

[General]
bEnableMessageOfTheDay=0

[Display]
bTemporalAA_idTech7=0

[Controls]
bMouseAcceleration=0
fMouseHeadingXScale=0.021
fMouseHeadingYScale=0.03738

[Controls]
# Delay in seconds before the player grabs an interactive object
fQCZKeyDelay=0.3

sStartingCjavascript-event-strippedbat

4. The following are the game settings in Display.

Borderless Full Screen = ON
Window Size = 2560 x 1440 (16:9) -- you may need to make your windows desktop resolution the same to make this work properly.
Dynamic Resolution = ON
Shadow Quality = MEDIUM
Indirect Lighting = MEDIUM
REFLECTIONS = MEDIUM
Particle Quality = HIGH
Volumetric Lighting = LOW
Crowd Density = LOW
Motion Blur = OFF
GTAO Quality = LOW
Grass Quality = MEDIUM
Contact Shadows = LOW
VSync = ON (set your Intel Arc Control settings Tearing Mitigation Modes (in Intel Arc Control app, under Settings > Global Game Settings, set this to Application Choice).
Upscaling = FSR2 (use the mod listed above to configure to use XESS).
Enable VRS = OFF
Enable Depth of Field = OFF

5. In Windows Start (Win11), type in "HDR Settings". You should enable HDR and adjust to your preference. This helps a lot with the games whack lighting. HDR will not be an option if your monitor does not support HDR.

Issues that still persist for me are:
- Missing eyebrows still, though I hear this is solved in a new driver. Havent tested it yet.
- some textures rendered very far from player will flash black occasionally, until player approaches the object closer.
- The game is still going to crash, these settings just make it more stable from my experience playing.

Patch 101.4824 (SEP 8 2023 version) fixes the missing eyebrows with the settings i mentioned earlier.

Not sure about stability yet, just started using the driver to see how it goes.

Patch 101.4824 (SEP 8 2023 version) causes repeated CTD, unfortunately.
Far less stable than previous patch 4672.

The crash is; Event ID 4101 ; Display driver igfxnd stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

I will try playing with the newer driver a bit longer to see if there is any difference, but so far several crashes within the space of an hour whereas before with the old driver, no crashes in a few hours play.

Latest driver 101.4824 constant crashes I may get the game to launch for 15minutes before it crashes, though 9/10 times I get an immediate ctd when pressing new game or continue, Recommend rolling back drivers(which may not work as 101.4824 came with a firmware update and I havent tested to see if its the driver or firmware causing the issues)

Yep can confirm the latest drivers are no good.

Intel is aware and is working on it, per their dev post on reddit.

The most frequent crashing I get is anything related to Jemison, staying in a crafting terminal for more than 1 minute on my ship, and activating missions via tab menu to track them, then closing the window which leads often to crashing.

Have found the crash logs in AppData\Local\Starfield but they are unreadable and make no sense, to top that off, it appears they dont even get sent to bethesda lol... fully useless. I can see all the crashes for me are graphics card crashes, see reference in windows logs too related to the drivers stopping working and restarting (thus game crashes).

So the only thing is to wait for Intel and Bethesda to play together nicely and make actually compatible and stable drivers and game patches.

Dont hold your breath, they left Intel Arc off the compatibility matrix right from the beginning.

Happy to report that Intel® Graphics Driver 31.0.101.4826 appears to be stable, even in Jemison, and we once again have eyebrows.

No crashing in 3 hours, which i believe is a record for me at least.

Time will tell if it stays stable over time.

Performance is also somewhat improved in Jemison, was getting 20-22 fps before now up to 30-38 FPS with the settings in OP.

Still a far cry from what the card should be producing, but the game appears to be still somewhat half-baked.

Crash after 4 hours while visiting Venus colony.

Unlike all 82 previous crashes (yes... 82), this one did not get generated by a graphics driver crash (it appears in Windows event logs if it does).

Todd, please bake the cake more.

After playing some more it seems that the game is not yet stable, even with the latest drivers.

Though it has improved with the newest arc drivers, there are still frequent crashing occuring, especially in and around large cities such as Jemison.
