Joining Crimson Fleet comes with a big gameplay change.

As title says, I joined the pirates and completed quest to have them as friend bcs The Key (their base) is a dope place with 4 merchants next to each other and 2 possible pirate companions not to mention some ship upgrades that only they have.

The thing is that when you join with them nobody from the UC cares and you have no bounty or anything but pirates are friends everywhere in the universe. Having pirates as friends ruins the gameplay bcs you can meet them on planets in abandoned mines, labs etc. and they are all friendly. I was on one planet and went to two abandoned places and both had pirates in them. Chance for the spacers or other factions are smaller I guess. It makes dungeons boring.

If anyone found it boring like me there is a mod on nexus called "Crimson Fleet hostile again plus re-join at will" its pretty much 2 console commands. I get what Devs were going for bcs if completing the questline made you hostile to the whole universe besides Pirates you would have a very bad time playing other quests. But they should have change the spawn of the Pirates after you join them so that Spacers, House Varuun or Eclectic are more frequent.

I recommend it. You can always choose different outcome for them in the questline but if you planned to use their base, companions etc. its probably better to leave it for later.

Hahaha, another Bethesda's game where choices DON'T MATTER. Whatever you do or say doesn't matter in a broken, generic, dull, lifeless world.
