My CPU Runs Hot in this Game
Even with cooler and fans turned all the way up, my CPU is running between 60-70c. Is that normal? It's a i9-13900k.

70c is fine for an active temp.

Welcome to DX12

Also, if you don't know what you are doing you shouldn't be using a 13900k, those chips need a lot of cooling if you wanna run them full throttle.

It will even spike a bit higher in cities as well, around 73-75c sometimes. This is the only game in my entire collection that does this and I was in the top 0.3% of all Steam players last year lol. Something is definitely wrong with this game specifically.

The game is using your processor. There's nothing wrong with it. If you can't keep your processor cool then fix your hardware issue.

Am using a water cooler and 3 case fans at full blast. Actually played this game on my old PC with a i7-4790k and a 980ti and it didn't run this hot.

4 cores..not going to run that hot. OP has 8 or 12 cores.

aircooled that more then ok temps, plus inter are always HOT HEADS =D start to panic when you see temps over 90°

yea, everything within 60~75°C is ok. anything above should´ve not be done over extended times. if your cpu goes for short up to close 80°C but cools down to 70°C or lower again is that ok too. that means your cooling can manage to cool the cpu back down. however, if it stays at 80°C+ or even higher should you get worried. cause, while some peoples say here that 90°C is fine. no it isnt. it is for short periods ok. but over extended times are those temps not got for cpu´s.

as soon a cpu stays above 80°C is something wrong with your cooling and you definitly should check/clean the fans etc.

i9-13900k. TjMAX = 100°

trust me, intel cpu can take the HEAT. AND you can't kill a cpu no more in this day and age, because the CPU lowers its speed and volt to cool it self down again.
and i know people who has intel cpu's that run at 90° continues for years.
what actually kills a pc and its parts, is the cool down and heat up cyles. so people who leave there pc on 24/7 will have a longer living pc then the peeps who shutdown there rig every day.

70C is very good how is that hot? especially for intel.

There is nothing wrong with the temps youre getting its absolutley okay.
i did not read a single temperature range presented in this whole thread that would harm anything.

besides that if you would reach cirtical temps your cpu would downlclock to prevent harm anyways unless you turned that feature manualy off in bios.

And as other people already pointed out AVX instructions will make run the cpu hotter because it computes stuff faster.

still all of the temps you guys posted are completly fine and safe nothing to worry about.

Not normal,but its summer.
I hit 80 plus with a water cooled i9 10900k @5.4 when in major cities, the rest of the time its around 40-60

edit: that's my CPU Package temps.
