i kept sending money even after that for roleplay reasons on my fresh first new game, though before i took the plunge for a new game+ it was fair to tell them in time you cant send anymore money, thus removing the trait. What happens is they pack up and move to some more affordable area or something, at least what i read somewhere. I've noticed one other perk you can remove that you chose at the start called introverted, by talking to a certain priest but i wonder if the opposite is true too by talking with some other npc's out there in the universe, somehow
